Synopsis
Paquita, a skilled rider, refuses to marry the unscrupulous Don Juan, despite the wishes of her tyrannical father. Paquita has fallen in love with Ramon, whom she rescued when he was being attacked by El Diablo, a proud, wild horse. Paquita's father forces her to dance at a disreputable tavern, and there, she again meets Ramon, who bests Juan in a fistfight. Paquita informs Ramon that she intends to regain control of her family's estates, even if she must marry the rich, anonymous American who purchased them. Soon after, Paquita's father shoots Juan and attempts to frame Ramon for the crime. The mob gathered by the father is determined to lynch Ramon, but El Diablo appears and scatters them. The police uncover the truth about the crime and arrest Juan, who has recovered from his wound. Paquita then learns that Ramon is the rich American who bought her family estates.
