Synopsis
Criminal court judge Philip Remarde sustains an injury to his skull which results in his assuming a dual personality. By day he upholds the law, while by night he prowls around with members of an underworld gang known as "The Lame Duck." When he becomes infatuated with gang member Emily Fortry, whom he once sentenced to prison for theft, she charges him with being a judge, but his angry denials clear him and he enters into a conspiracy to rob his own house. The police arrive at the Remarde residence just as the robbery is about to be perpetrated and the judge undergoes a transformation back to his original self. A surgeon specialist then seizes the moment when the evil personality is about to gain strength, merges the dual selves and Remarde is saved.
