Synopsis

After world famous jockey Walter Miller is drugged by his villainous rival before a race, Miller guides his horse, who is also drugged, by the bridle bit process. Miller, who plans to race the horse owned by the father of the girl he loves in the Futurity, an event that offers $70,000 to the winner, is not allowed to race because of drug usage. After Miller exposes his rival's plot, he is reinstated. The rival arranges for Miller to be attacked and kidnapped in an auto, but Miller thrashes his captor, dives through a burning doorway into a stream of water and swims away. He arrives at the track in time to ride the winning horse in the Futurity.

Notes

Walter Miller was a leading jockey at the time this film was made. Another film, entitled Winning the Futurity, released in 1926, produced by Chadwick Pictures, has some similarities in plot to this film. (See AFI Catalog of Feature Films, 1921-30; F2.6416.)
