Synopsis
Following the 1917 inter-Allied Council at Versailles, Gen. Ferdinand Foch is named commander-in-chief of the Allied armies, which in 1918 are joined by the American forces stationed in France. As the American troops fight their first battles at Belleau Wood and Chateau-Thierry, the English army, led by Field Marshal Douglas Haig, sees action at the British front, and the Italian troops defeat the Austrians at Piave. After the American battle at Saint-Mihiel, Gen. John J. Pershing reviews the troops in a victory ceremony.

The third United States Official War Film released during World War I, the picture was preceded by Pershing's Crusaders and America's Answer. The Division of Films released the picture in ten selected U.S. cities in November and December of 1918, and on January 6, 1919, World Film Corp. began the general distribution. It opened in New York on November 17, 1918. The film was also reviewed at five reels in length.
