Synopsis

Almost as quickly as the romance begins between Tom Weston and Marie, who is the daughter of Tom's wealthy employer, James Bolton, it ends, because Marie is already engaged to Jack Hillman. When she breaks off their relationship, Tom vows to treat all women just as Marie treated him; and so, as he rises in the business world, he breaks the hearts of a number of women. After he has earned a fortune, Tom decides to ruin James financially. Then, Marie, who never married Jack, comes to Tom and begs his forgiveness. Seeing a chance for complete revenge, Tom plans to begin a romance with Marie once again and then have the pleasure of jilting her. Later, however, when she tells him that he is completely justified in ruining James, Tom really does fall in love with Marie. Then, after calling off his plan to put her father out of business, he marries her.

Notes

Because William Russell was the co-director with Jack Prescott of the films in which he starred for American at this time, it is likely that he co-directed this film, although reviews fail to confirm this.
