Synopsis

As wealthy playboy Bertie Joyce returns from his bachelor party, some thugs knock him out and rob him. After he regains consciousness, a now-amnesiac Bertie wanders into a saloon, where a band of crooks takes him in and trains him to be a gentleman burglar. The papers report Bertie's disappearance, and also dwell on the grief of his fiancée, Dorothy Hardin, now laden with wedding gifts but with no one to marry. The crooks decide to steal the gifts, but when they arrive at Dorothy's, Bertie, still remembering nothing, nonetheless instinctively saves his sweetheart from the thieves' assault. The gang runs away from Bertie, and then a doctor tells Dorothy that a simple operation will restore her fiancé's memory. After the surgery, Bertie still cannot recall his brief criminal interlude, but he is healthy enough to remember Dorothy and to marry her.
