Synopsis

When Allen Craven leaves her pregnant and unwed, Marion Lane marries Doctor George Page, who believes that she is a widow. After accidentally seeing Allen, however, Marion breaks down and, without naming Allen, tells George all about her past. Then, George bumps into Allen, an old friend he had not seen for a long time, and invites him to the house. Allen brings along Sonia Crator, his mistress, and the two friends speak amicably until Marion enters. Then, her reaction and Allen's make George realize that it was his friend who betrayed Marion. The men begin to fight, and both struggle for a revolver. Finally, George shoots and kills Allen, but when the police come to investigate, Sonia, who was astonished to hear of her sweetheart's unscrupulous past, clears George by insisting that Allen committed suicide.
