Synopsis
A young black newspaperman is convicted of murder on circumstantial evidence and sentenced to prison. He escapes and makes his way to the southwestern cattle country, where he falls in love with Tex Miller, a beautiful cowgirl. Having rid the territory of an outlaw band, he gives himself up to the law, thinking that he will be sent back to prison. After discovering that the real murderer has confessed, he returns to Tex and the country he has come to love.

According to information in the NYSA, an application for a license to be exhibited in New York State was submitted on August 21, 1924, although an exact release date has not been determined. Mesco Productions was located in Kansas City, MO. According to information in the George P. Johnson Collection at the UCLA Special Collections Library, producer Lawrence Goldman was a white former theater owner in Kansas City and head of the Motion Picture Exhibitors of Missouri. According to Billboard, the film was delayed for ten weeks for lead actor Calvin Nicholson to recover from injuries sustained during the filming of a cattle rush scene.
