Synopsis

[The following plot summary is based on the English-language version of this film, The Lady Lies ; character names refer to that version.] Jo and Bob Rossiter, the children of a widower who is having an affair with an attractive salesgirl, Joyce Roamer, attempt to intervene when their aunt and uncle, social snobs, indicate that the girl is beneath the family's social standing and therefore undesirable. The romance reaches a logical conclusion when Joyce so endears herself to the two children that they welcome her into their home.
