Synopsis

At a hotel one evening, bellhop Billy and manager Sammy Biffle leave desk clerk Mathilde in charge despite Mathilde's protests that she might be accosted by the Strip Tease Bandits, robbers who force their female victims to strip. After Mathilde falls asleep, robbers Sammy Birch and Billy hold up the hotel and find only a quarter in the cash register. Mathilde encourages the robbers to try robbing her, but the robbers prefer the more attractive female guests. In between strip acts, comedy routines are performed. Mathilde then warns the robbers not to go to the bar downstairs, and tells them a story about the bar's patrons: A dangerous blonde traps customers into drinking drugged alcohol, after which she robs them. One patron, however, deduces her trick and tries to drug her instead, finally dousing her in seltzer. Tony Lamont then strips, after which Gung Hai, billed as "That Erotic Eurasian," performs a routine with fans. Back at the hotel, Billy and Sammy vie to entice a sleepwalking female customer to join each in his room. When Sammy is victorious, Billy watches through a keyhole as a woman strips. Later, Billy remembers a story about his former career as a baby photographer: A government proclamation has been issued insisting that because of the loss of human life in the recent war, all women must give birth to a child before the end of the year. When Billy then visits a married couple, the lady of the house mistakes the door-to-door photographer for a government agent there to enforce the proclamation. After the sketches, Sammy and Billy force their newest victims to strip but still do not find any money. When they return to Mathilde, she pleads to be frisked and asks to perform her strip act. Sammy and Billy finally relent and allow her to perform. Mathilde's show is a success; however, when the doorman wakes Mathilde, she realizes she has dreamt that he and Sammy were the bandits.
