Synopsis
Biograph summary: Spring cleaning occasions many humorous incidents, and this is one of them. A lady starts to make a fire, but the flue is clogged and the room fills with smoke. A chimney sweep is called and goes up the chimney unobserved. In the meanwhile the lady goes in the fireplace with her dusting cloth, and is just in time to catch a shower of soot dislodged by the sweep in the chimney above.
