Synopsis
Biograph summary: A young girl is receiving her lover against the wishes of her father. They hear him coming, and the lover hides in the coal box. The coal man comes in and empties a bag of coal upon the unfortunate young man. Hearing another suspicious noise, the lover hides in the chimney. This time the father enters and starts a fire in the fire-place. The lover falls down from his warm perch, covered with soot.
