Synopsis

New Yorker Mantan Moreland is sent out West by his boss, Fred Wilson, to prepare Wilson's ranch for his arrival with his new bride. The ranch has not been occupied for five years and has become something of a ghost ranch. Mantan takes his pal Steve with him and in the town of Dry Gulch they become involved with a girl called Flo. The ranch is being used as a hideout by the outlaw Dice and his gang. Mantan and Steve meet Lee, a former bartender, and they all head off to clean up the ranch. The outlaws make them believe that the place is haunted, however, and scare them off. Later, when the outlaws leave to rob a bank, Mantan and his pals return to resume the clean-up. Later, the sheriff trails the bank robbers to the ranch and Mantan and his friends assist in their capture. Finally, at a luncheon for Fred Wilson and his wife, Mantan makes a speech thanking them for sending him West, but indicates that he prefers to return to New York.
