Synopsis
This documentary film depicts a "Scenic Psalm Worship Service" in which a regular church service is presented, from organ prelude to postlude. It includes the reading of the Beatitudes and the singing of the hymn "Love Divine," desert sequences and a Bible narration on the value of meditation. In a four-minute sermonette, a narrator suggests that people must return to the simple values of the quiet desert experience in order to survive.

An Los Angeles Times advertisement of January 10, 1948 announced this film's world premiere at the Wilshire Methodist Church in Los Angeles on 11 Jan. According to a review in Hollywood Reporter, the film was being offered to Protestant churches of all denominations. A Daily Variety news item gives the film's running time as 36 minutes, whereas the Hollywood Reporter review lists a 44 minute running time.
