Synopsis

Upon leaving prison, Pierre learns that his grandfather was victimized by swindlers who forced him out of his apartment, causing him to commit suicide. The swindlers then turned over the apartment to a crime syndicate which uses it as a front for a whorehouse. When Pierre tries to avenge his grandfather's death, the swindlers capture him, but he is saved by Véronique, an innocent young woman whose poverty has forced her into a life of prostitution. Véronique and Pierre fall in love and arrange for the arrest of the members of the syndicate.
