Synopsis

Elves return to a village one night every 100 years to do the work of the townspeople. They make shoes while the shoemaker sleeps and build toys in a large workshop; they also chase a robber and hold him captive in a barrel of tar. When the tailor's wife tries to capture the little laborers, their evening of work ends.
