Synopsis

Former R.A.F. pilot Michael Blake is approached by Christine, secretary to Potter, a supposed wine importer who offers Blake a large sum of money to fly a small package from France to England. Blake refuses at first but accepts when pressure is applied, intending to double-cross Potter and keep the package's contents for himself. When the parcel is delivered, Potter finds it full of pebbles instead of the diamonds he had expected. Potter, an electronics expert, radios Blake in the plane, informing him that the double-cross had been anticipated and that a bomb is planted aboard the plane. The detonator fails to work, however; seated beside Blake in the plane is Christine, who had warned Blake about the hidden bomb before the flight.
