Synopsis

A musically inclined donkey travels to Bremen to participate in a music contest. Along the way, he unchains a mistreated dog, which joins him on his journey. Next, they pick up a cat and a rooster. Stopping to rest in a house in the forest, they find the house occupied by thieves, but accidentally they scare the thieves away. By setting traps, the animals keep the thieves at a distance, and they decide to stay in the house and play their instruments, rather than attending the contest in Bremen.
