Synopsis

A romantic story of homosexuality takes place in the 1870's in the mountains of northern California. An old trapper, Calvin, tells how his lost lover, Ephraim, became upset by promiscuity among homosexuals, and how he, Calvin, sent Ephraim to visit an Indian medicine man who convinced him that sexual love should not necessarily be restricted to one partnership. With his views thus liberalized, Ephraim moved on to find further fulfillment.
