Synopsis

American Corporal Jerry Little is assigned to a district during the Korean War called "No Man's Land." He thinks he hears something in the darkness, throws a hand grenade, and triggers a major battle. Afterwards, the corporal decides he will meet the enemy with more finesse. One afternoon he meets Anna Wong, an Oriental girl, walking her dog, and they become friends. One last patrol is ordered before the squad can retreat to a rest zone. When they meet the enemy, an old sergeant is wounded by a sniper, and one of the troops [Tom Lytle] leads volunteers back for medical aid. The corporal manages to find both the sniper, whom he shoots, and Anna, whom he marries.
