Synopsis

Patriarch Noah Reedy and his sons Matt, Mark, and Luke are engaged in a battle on three fronts to maintain their illegal liquor business located in the mountains of Carolina. Pursued by local sheriff Estep and federal revenue agents Chandler and Hays, the Reedy family faces the ruthless competition of syndicate boss Earl Veasey and his henchmen. After Veasey hijacks one of Reedy's sugar supply trucks, Reedy and his sons pay a visit to the luxurious houseboat headquarters of the syndicate boss, but threats from both sides only increase the tension. Upon learning that the Reedy sons are entertaining his two playgirls, Martha Lu and Nadine, Veasey sends Deke to kill Mark Reedy. Deke succeeds in running Mark's car off a cliff, but Mark survives, and Noah Reedy launches an all-out war against the syndicate. Reedy fights Veasey's sabotage attempts with booby-trapped fireworks and electronic devices designed to protect the family stills, then lures Veasey's gang into a speed boat chase that ends with a dynamite ambush. Noah and his sons locate Veasey's stills using hogs to follow the scent of sour mash. After a raid on Veasey's houseboat headquarters, Reedy tricks the federal agents into arresting the syndicate gangsters, while at the same time protecting his own secret stills and the million-dollar moonshine business.
