Synopsis

Captain Fu commands a junk on the China Sea, staffed by a crew of the most beautiful women in the Orient. With the help of his hunchback stooge, Captain Fu has shifted his efforts from seagoing prostitution to the even more lucrative trade of kidnaping. Though his victims are usually foreign sailors, he plans to kidnap Melodie, the daughter of a wealthy merchant, for the large ransom she will bring. Melodie receives a note saying that her lover Lin is in trouble and wants her to come immediately. She has been strictly forbidden to see Lin, but she sneaks away from the family mansion into the waiting hands of Captain Fu. Lin arrives for a secret meeting with his lover and finds that her family has just received a ransom note. Lin gets the hunchback's description from the maid, and, remembering having seen Fu when his ship was docked, he sets sail in pursuit of Fu's junk. On board the pirate ship, Melodie is forced to join in the night's carousing, until Fu drags her off to his private cabin. Lin overtakes the junk, strangles the hunchback, and makes his way to Fu's cabin. The two men fight, and Fu is killed. Lin returns home with Melodie, and her grateful father approves their marriage.
