Synopsis
Billy, a 15-year-old camera buff, wanders through his home in search of subjects to photograph. He discovers his mother in bed with a lover, and he quietly snaps some revealing photos. There is a violent quarrel when Billy shows his father what he has found; Billy's mother accidentally kills his father and is committed to an institution for the criminally insane. Billy's aunt comes to care for him; she eventually seduces him, and they begin an affair. For 5 years, the incestuous relationship continues. Meanwhile, Billy's mother makes rapid strides toward recovery. At last she is deemed fit to return to society, and she arrives home to confront the overwhelming problems facing her family.
