Synopsis

Beautiful Lorrie Owens moves from Memphis to the French Quarter of New Orleans and enters into a relationship with detective Dick Dudman. She becomes despondent over the affair, and in a church she meets minister Joe Redding, a childhood sweetheart. They renew their love and marry. Dick spots Lorrie, follows her to her apartment, and seduces her. Lorrie confesses her action and Joe sends her to a psychiatrist, but an incident in which her mother, a physician, examined her after a teenage date has given her a fear of all doctors. She attempts suicide, fails, and is taken to a police station. Dick continues to plot to wreck her marriage. Trying to claim her, Dick makes advances to Lorrie at her home and prods Joe into a fight in which Joe is badly beaten. Lorrie rushes to Joe's aid and angrily drives Dick away.
