Synopsis
Mafia henchmen are being killed off by a mysterious figure dressed in mourning who is known only as "The Black Widow." The editor and a reporter from a crusading newspaper investigate the killings, and the reporter persuades one of the mob prostitutes to talk to him: Italian-born, she is raped by a Mafia gunman. She and her boyfriend, whose face is severely scarred when the gunman's companions burn him with a torch, then separately emigrate to the United States . The Mafia chief is lured by the reporter to a store in Chinatown. The Black Widow arrives, there is a fight, and the Black Widow, who is revealed to be the vengeful Italian with the scarred face, is killed. One of the Mafia henchmen turns out to be an undercover agent, and he arrests the Mafia boss. The reporter and the prostitute who gave him his first lead in the case leave together to start a new life.
