Synopsis
During Mardi Gras in the Virgin Islands, an old seaman in a waterfront bar attempts to pay for his drinks with pearls. The wary bartender will only accept cash, and another patron pays for the drinks. While a stripper entertains, the patron and the drunken seaman converse, and the patron learns that the old man has a map marking the most valuable pearl oyster bed in the Caribbean. The old man then tells the patron the story of the pearls: On an island in the Caribbean, the pearls are stolen from a native tribe. The witches of the tribe place a voodoo hex on the pearls. The sailor barely escapes from the island. All those who hear the sailor's tale become dominated by greed. The patron steals the map, and women offer their bodies in return for a share of the treasure.
