Synopsis
Dashing private detective Robert Sanford undertakes a missing persons case he calls "The Naked Search." Commissioned by Barbara Whiting, Sanford must locate Barbara's sister Geraldine within a month's time; otherwise, their father's legacy will go to the "Solar Research Society." Sanford learns that the two were separated as youngsters when their parents divorced, and that Geraldine may have been influenced by her mother's interest in nudism. He follows the postmark on some recent correspondence to nudist camp Sunny Forest Park in rural Pennsylvania, and there he interviews owner Marilyn Crane, who remembers "Gerri" and shows Sanford a letter from the missing woman in which she registered her intention to tour nudist camps in Europe and Japan. Sanford departs for the Continent and travels from one nudist camp to another, through Denmark, Germany, and France, but he finds no information concerning Geraldine's whereabouts. Arriving at the famous Île du Levant, he finds a hotel owner who has a letter in Geraldine's handwriting but the letter bears Marilyn Crane's signature. He returns and confronts Marilyn, who explains that she hoped to obtain the entire inheritance for the Solar Research Society, actually a nudist group. Barbara, however, also reveals herself to be a nudist, and together the sisters fashion a nudists' paradise at Sunny Forest.
