Synopsis

Adventurers Marsh Conners and Dave Reardon accept different assignments--Dave in Amazonia and Marsh in the Congo. The South American expedition meets disaster; Dave, the sole survivor, barely escapes an anaconda. The Marsh expedition proves successful; he joins a tribe of Pygmies on an elephant hunt, braves the Congo River rapids, and visits an elephant training school. Meanwhile, Dave hires a guide, Tony, and together they watch fights between a wild hog and a snake, a tarantula and a scorpion, and two iguanas. Tony's wife, Orica, tries to kill Dave, but fails in her attempt to prevent her husband and the explorer from venturing deeper into the jungle. Dave is killed by a crocodile while saving the guide's life.
