Synopsis
Volodya, a Moscow optician, falls in love from a distance with Galya, a dancer with the Beryozka Ensemble. To be close to her, he signs on as a cook on the boat which is to carry the troupe on a tour along the Volga. Another member of the kitchen staff, Nastya, becomes attracted to Volodya, arousing Galya's jealousy. In spite of comical misunderstandings, however, Volodya and Galya find romance.
