Synopsis

RENDEZVOUS IN SPACE: A record of the twin orbital flights of Maj. Andrian Grigoryevich Nikolayev and Lieut. Col. Pavel Romanovich Popovich aboard the spaceships Vostok 3 and Vostok 4 in August 1962. The cosmonauts are first seen at home before their flights. Photos taken by the men in space are included in the record of their journey. Upon their return they receive a triumphant welcome in Red Square, and Premier Khrushchev is among their wellwishers. INSIDE THE KREMLIN: A tour of the Kremlin, including a presentation on its history. FESTIVAL OF RUSSIAN SONGS AND DANCES includes performances by a number of Soviet ensembles. The finale of the compilation consists of scenes of the 1962 November 7th celebration.
