Synopsis

1ST EPISODE: Peter, a girl-crazy American, takes time off from a business trip in Poland to visit an uncle, Konstanty, to whom his father has been sending money for maintaining an apartment. Actually Konstanty is living at a rest home and the money is being used to pay the rent for his son's and daughter-in-law's apartment. Konstanty nevertheless consents to move in with them while Peter is visiting. In so doing the old man is able to both fool the American and score a moral victory over his weak-principled son and greedy daughter-in-law. 2D EPISODE: A middle-aged widower from Indiana arrives at the Polish village of his father's birth in the hope of finding a wife. Treated like royalty, he is wined and dined by anxious mothers hopeful of marrying off a daughter to "the American millionaire." While drunk, he decides on the local barmaid and thereby ends up marrying the one girl whose charms have already been enjoyed by all the village swains. 3D EPISODE: A Chicago promoter is in Poland to dig up earth from famous battlefields to sell to Polish-Americans as authentic souvenirs. It is pointed out to him that such places are easy to find, Poland having been fought over for so long; as a result, he buys whatever dirt the eager Poles sell him and loads it aboard a ship bound for the United States.
