Synopsis

At Honolulu International Airport Yuichi Okamoto is greeted by his younger brother, Jiro, a student at the University of Hawaii. They attend a party celebrating the election of a beauty queen, Wu Ai-ling, whose photograph Jiro had entered in the contest without her knowledge. The contest prize is a 2-week trip to Tokyo and Hong Kong, and Yuichi accompanies Ai-ling back to his home in Tokyo. Despite numerous disagreements with Ai-ling, Yuichi realizes that he is falling in love with her when she becomes lost touring Tokyo and his reaction is one of frantic worry. Ai-ling phones Jiro, who tells her not to accept Yuichi's advances, as it is he who really loves her. However, Ai-ling has been told by her guardians in Hawaii that her real father affianced her to a boy in Hong Kong when she was three. Jiro flies to Tokyo but finds that Ai-ling and his brother have already departed for Hong Kong. Here Ai-ling finds her long lost sister, who is engaged to Ai-ling's betrothed. Now free to marry on her own, Ai-ling makes wedding plans with Yuichi.
