Synopsis
Vicky Carter, dying of leukemia, has visited Dr. Frank many times for treatments. She has been secretive about it, trying to save Bill, her husband, and her young daughter from being hurt. Bill, however, takes notice of her frequent visits to Dr. Frank. He suspects her of an adulterous affair and begins to arrange a divorce. Vicky then realizes that Bill has never loved or trusted her. At a beach party, Vicky meets Hollywood nightclub singer Anthony Adonis. Jealous of the attention Anthony gives her, Bill tells him of her "affair" with Dr. Frank. Anthony feels that he has been teased and tells Vicky that he never wants to see her again. Vicky is devastated and commits suicide by jumping off a cliff. All she leaves is a diary which tells Bill and Anthony the real reasons for her actions.
