Synopsis
The tastes of Marcus Daniel Edouard Rasmussen, a poor Copenhagen bookkeeper, contrast with his poverty. Despite his limited income, Marcus has regal bearing and is a multi-lingual connoisseur of the arts. When a rich relative dies, the bookkeeper expects a large inheritance but receives instead a passel of debts. Embezzling money from his firm, Marcus assumes the name de Sade and represents himself as the Marquis' wealthy descendant. Aristocratic women offer him financial gifts and expect cruel pleasures. Responding to their requests, the imposter hosts a large orgy.
