Synopsis
In their fashionable London apartment, Charlotte, Marianne, and Samantha lament the lack of male companionship. While attending a demonstration of Kendo wrestling with her boyfriend Joe and reporter Ronnie, their roommate Lucille is inspired. Counseled in the ways of her Chinese ancestors, the women abduct their bachelor idols, including popular singer Georgie Hart; Minister of Popular Culture Sir Basil Grinling; and Radio Free Ruritania disc jockey Mike Maroon. Waking beside his captor at the island home of Joe's Aunt Grace, Sir Basil immediately falls in love with Charlotte. Samantha, however, is repelled by Georgie's lack of inhibition, while Georgie is attracted to Marianne. Preoccupied with his position and indifferent to Marianne's charms, Mike escapes at the first opportunity. Summoned by the disc jockey, police and army converge upon the island, terminating the idyll and apprehending the abductors. Nevertheless, Georgie and Sir Basil refuse to incriminate their captors, and Ronnie blackmails Mike into withdrawing the charges. The couples are then reunited, Samantha finding happiness with Ronnie.
