Synopsis
This combination of motion picture and still photography chronicles the takeover of Columbia University in the spring of 1968 by a coalition of radical groups, among them Students for a Democratic Society. The film shows Columbia's President Grayson Kirk praising the modern university; highlights the takeover of the campus in New York City's Morningside Heights and occupation of the administrators' offices, culminating in the police "bust"; and shows commencement exercises as staged by both the radical and the non-radical student factions.
