Synopsis
Catherine, disillusioned by an unhappy love affair, decides to become a prostitute. She is hired by Pornotropos, an unscrupulous young hoodlum who has recently reopened several whorehouses and forced other madams to consolidate into his syndicate. After joining a new brothel managed by Corinne, Pornotropos' mistress, Catherine is brutally assaulted when she refuses the gangster's advances. She then meets Paul, a public relations representative for an elderly gentleman who died in Catherine's room; they soon fall in love and escape from the syndicate. Pornotropos, assisted by his brother Thanatos, a sadistic killer, and by a pair of murderous twins, pursues and recaptures Catherine. Paul locates her, and after Pornotropos is accidentally killed by his brother, Paul and Catherine flee to safety, while Thanatos joins Corinne in continuing his brother's enterprise.
