Synopsis
An upper-middle class girl graduates from high school but is unhappy in her suburban home. Her stepmother does not like her, especially resenting her guitar, her laziness, and the late hours she keeps. Her father loves her very much and has just given her a stuffed bear as a token of his affection. Because of her stepmother's lack of understanding the girl leaves home, taking just her guitar and bear, only to come back after her hippie boyfriend is arrested for possession of marijuana. She asks her father for bail money to get him out of jail, but he refuses. The girl leaves home again, eventually raising the money by performing in some sex exploitation films. One night the father is at a neighborhood stag party and sees his daughter in the pornographic films they are watching. He goes home and commits suicide.
