Synopsis

In need of money, Lonnie rents his Cadillac to Paco, a Spanish revolutionary, and Mitchell, a jewelry store salesman, who use the car in a diamond robbery. After the heist, Lonnie discovers that Lois, his childhood sweetheart, is prostituting herself for Paco's cause. Forced to help Paco make his escape by boat, Lonnie falls in love with Ria, the motorboat owner's daughter. Chased by the gangsters, the couple hides in a vacant mansion, while Paco commits another robbery. Lonnie pretends to join Mitchell in double-crossing Paco. In a struggle with the Spaniard, Lonnie is wounded. All three men flee by car. During a scuffle, Mitchell falls to his death from the automobile. Lonnie and Paco escape through the swamp, return to town, and, disguised as musicians, elude the police. Thinking Lonnie has been killed by the gangsters, Ria shoots and kills Paco when he approaches her father's boat. Lonnie rushes aboard and the couple puts out to sea.
