Synopsis
While enrolled in a seminar treating the history of superstition, coed Jill becomes deeply involved in witchcraft. Having acquired an ancient tome at a charity book fair, the student chants its incantations during class. Unbeknownst to her classmates, Jill is now possessed by the spirit of Margery of Jourdemain, a witch hung with her lover in England in 1648. The witch reveals herself to Jill's instructor, Professor Stuart, and boyfriend, Alan, persuading the pair to teach her the ways of modern civilization. After being instructed in the proper use of the telephone, the witch leaves for the campus. There she convenes her coven, which murders lecherous student Harry and his girl friend Sharon and plans the assassination of Stuart, descendant of Margery's warlock lover. Alarmed by the slayings, the teacher subdues the witch by projecting multiple crosses on the walls of his home. However, he is unable to resist the charms of his adversary. Kissing the witch, he is transported to 17th-century England at the moment of his own execution.
