Synopsis

Various people are seeking a huge fortune and accompanying documents which were allegedly hidden in Egypt by Field Marshal Rommel during World War II. The searchers include: von Brunner, a former Rommel aide who wants to use the treasure to assist families of men killed during the war; Wells, an American photographer looking for a big story; and Mrs. Fischer, who hopes to sell the documents to a foreign power, with the help of her henchman Krikorian. Aided by Sofia, an entertainer in Mrs. Fischer's nightclub, von Brunner learns that the treasure is hidden beneath the sea. The other people seeking the treasure also learn this secret, and as von Brunner and Sofia are diving for it, Fischer and Krikorian try to steal it. Sofia saves von Brunner's life, but the treasure is destroyed when a mine explodes, killing Fischer and Krikorian. [One source indicates that Fischer and Krikorian are shot to death during the fight for the treasure.]
