Synopsis

The Villa Vennely, the posh residence of a wealthy Copenhagen businessman, is a center of undercover prostitution, gambling, and drugs. A burly handyman-butler acts as "madam," fondly serving the six prostitutes who live in the house. Lis, one of the women, becomes hooked on drugs supplied to her by a regular customer who covers his heavy losses at the gaming tables with profits from narcotics. After a fight with another woman, Lis is taken to a hospital, where her doctor, an occasional visitor to the house, reports her addiction to the police. The police raid the house, and the butler is jailed. The women receive fines, remaining free to find similar employment elsewhere.
