Synopsis
After photographs of Arthur Voegtlin, William J. Wilson, and members of the technical staff are shown, a list of persons connected with the spectacle are presented. Next, interior portions of the Hippodrome Theater in New York City are shown, followed by a dramatization of the landing of Christopher Columbus. The story begins as a traitor steals plans for the fortification of the Panama Canal from Lieutenant Frank Forsythe. Pursued by government agents, the traitor visits many locations familiar to Americans, among them a levee in New Orleans, a pueblo in New Mexico and the Grand Canyon. Several novelty acts are also included, such as Bert Shepherd and his whip tricks, The Phyllis Equestrians, and The Australian Wood Choppers.

Notes
The stage production was presented by Lee Shubert and Jacob J. Shubert and staged by William J. Wilson. According to contemporary reviews, the film was a reproduction of the original stage production presented at the Hippodrome Theater in New York. Sources also indicate that the cast was taken from the stage presentation as well.
