Synopsis

Loute Sedaine, a French dancer known along Broadway as "the girl from Rector's," attracts the attention of man-about-town Andy Tandy, who has little regard for her reputation. Richard Lawrence also meets Loute and, thinking that he is in love with her, protects the dancer from Tandy's advances. After many complications, it is disclosed in the end that Tandy has a wife and daughter and that the girl from Rector's is a happily married woman who has become a dancer only because of her love of art and thirst for adventure.
