Synopsis

Four rough but noble-hearted lumberman, Jacky, Towzer, Davy and Lively, care for an orphaned little girl named Sunday after her father dies. As Sunday grows, Jacky, the youngest, falls in love with her, but she regards him as a brother. When the boys decide to send Sunday to a convent school, she rebels and elopes with Arthur Brinthorpe, a visiting Englishman. After Arthur confesses that he never intended to marry Sunday, Jacky intercedes in their struggle and shoots Arthur, who falls over a cliff. Lizette, a half-witted girl who loves Jacky, witnesses the killing. After Sunday departs with the Sisters, her aunt, Mrs. Naseby, takes her to her wealthy home in England. Sunday falls in love with Arthur's older brother Henry but turns down his proposal without giving the reason. When she flees to the lumber camp, Henry follows. After Lizette, afraid that Sunday will marry Jacky, accuses her of murdering Arthur, Jacky confesses. Lizette then throws a knife at Sunday, but Lively protects her and is wounded. Sunday now accepts Henry's second proposal.
