Synopsis

"Kid Garvey," a champion pugilist, agrees to teach Reverend Bradford how to box in exchange for some society introductions, and the reverend complies by introducing him to Catherine Fulton, Estelle Kittredge and their wealthy families and friends. In spite of her engagement to Reginald Lumley, Catherine contrives to meet Garvey at her house, while the rest of her circle attends a vaudeville show headlined by the infamous Myrtle Morrison. Suspicious, Estelle stays behind and overhears Catherine and Garvey arranging to elope. After locking Catherine in a room, Estelle disguises herself in a veil and takes off with an unsuspecting Garvey. In his hurry, Garvey runs over Reginald, who had fled the theater at the mention of Myrtle's name, and is taken to the police station. Later, at the Fulton's house, identities are revealed and feelings are exposed. After the reverend confesses his love for Estelle, and Reginald for Myrtle, Catherine and Garvey formally announce their wedding plans.
