Synopsis

Injured while catching a winning pass for his college football team, Harry Ogden is treated with morphine and consequently becomes an addict. Later, he moves out West, where his cravings prompt him to steal a horse. Betty, a former acquaintance from the East, saves Harry from a lynch mob and then cures him of his drug habit while concealing him on her ranch. Taylor, a rival suitor and crooked mining promoter, accidentally kills Betty's father, but she and the townspeople are led to believe that Harry is the murderer. After summoning the angry mob to hang Harry, Betty learns that Taylor committed the crime, but the couple is saved by her father's engineer, Choo, who kills Taylor and allows the lovers to escape.
