Synopsis

Jane Thomas, who inherited a bank from her father, is the reform candidate for mayor in a vice-ridden Western town in which women are allowed to vote. Among her adversaries are Vance, the crippled owner of a dance hall, who cares only for his pet collie, and Senator Woodford, whose property is the site of a bordello. Attempting to discredit Jane, her opponents lure her to the brothel and begin a run on her bank. In the end, however, their machinations prove fruitless as Jane is elected and Vance slain. As successful in love as she is in politics, the new mayor gives her heart to her staunch supporter, Dr. Root.
