Synopsis

Rhy MacChesney and her brothers Clem and Sonny own the unprofitable Colorado gold mine, The Three of Us. Steve Towney, who loves Rhy, owns the equally unsuccessful adjoining mine. When Steve finally discovers gold, he must register his claim by noon the following day or loose title to the mine, but Rhy urges him to wait until after the Halloween dance. Clem overhears their conversation and, wanting money to go East, sells the information to rival miner Louis Beresford. The next day, when the papers and ore samples which Steve entrusted to Rhy are missing, he accuses her of stealing them. She proves her love and her honesty, however, by taking a daring ride across the mountains to register Steve's claim just in time to save his mine from Beresford's machinations.
