Synopsis

Convinced of convicted killer Jack Roger's innocence, Tex determines to find the true murderer of Tom Well. Upon learning that Well had been threatened by Joe Clark, Tex tracks Clark down but is taken prisoner by his prey. After escaping, Tex returns and arrests Clark, who is then exonerated of the murder charge. Next, Tex visits Jack's sweetheart Jane Thompson and the two return to the scene of the crime where they discover a hairpin and a woman's shoe buckle, clues which point to Tom's sweetheart, Rose Smith. The day before Jack's execution finds Tex still searching for the elusive Rose, until he stumbles upon her in a hospital, and she confesses that she shot her lover when he refused to marry her. The case solved, Tex rushes to the Governor's house, obtains a pardon and dashes to the prison just in time to prevent Jack's execution.
